Bruce Kestler notes that the Congressional Budget Office, a non-partisan group of experts who provide the cost estimates of legislation, has not released an estimate of how much the Immigration proposal will cost.
One estimate is $2.5 trillion over 18 years or $139 billion per year. Admittedly that comes from a conservative think tank and is probably a worst case scenario, but if that is even in the ball park, Congress needs to sit up and take a good hard long look at this bill.
