Go On Vacation and the Funniest FEC Opinion in Months

This is what happens when you go on vacation and the FEC issues what is perhaps the silliest enforcement action in months, you find yourself without a witty denunciation of the FEC actions.

I don't have anything to say about NASCAR decision that hasn't already been said. Brad Smith and the boys at CCP have this and this this to say. Rick Hasen calls the action "silly." Bob Bauer talks about the regulatory logic that lead to the affair in the first place (and a very important read about the regulatory process at the FEC).

While the process may have worked, the use of resources and time spent on this matter was probably excessive and could have been solved with a couple of quick letters since the driver was, like most people, unaware of the impact of his actions.
