A judge in New Hampshire handed down a 60 day sentence for the repeated rape of a young girl (age 7 when the rapes started and laste for three years).
The tragedy is that, while an obvious miscarriage of justice, I don't know if the prosecution can appeal the imposition of such a light sentence. I seem to recall from criminal procedure that they can't appeal. Thus, this animal will be free in 60 days, because the judge no longer believes that punishment serves any purpose.
