What is the American fascination with the czars, a antiquated and no longer operational governmental strucutre, marred by corruption and inaction? Everywhere we turn, there is a new czar. First a drug czar, now a war czar, and now John Edwards thinks we need a recovery czar for post-Katrina New Orleans.
So let me see if I get this right. The way to fix a problem is to appoint a "czar" and then empower them with what exactly? Oh right, the power to do nothing.
