Complaint Filed with FEC Regarding Corporate Advertising

Hat Tip: Jason Torchinsky via Election Law Listserv

Here is a link to a detailed compliant filed with the FEC regarding Corporate advertising in support of a federal candidate. I have not read through the whole complaint yet, but it does alledge that an Iowa candidate for Congress has used his businesses and business connections to pay for ads that link his candidacy to the businesses he owns, which apparently are quite popular.

The more I see complaints like this, the more I am coming to hte conclusion that we need to greatly re-think our laws regarding corporate political activity--making them looser.
