MSNBC Poll on MD-Sen:

Hat Tip: Red State

Although you can read the poll yourself, I thought this was an interesting question and result:
In your view, did either of the candidates for U.S. Senate attack the other unfairly?

NO 24%

CARDIN DID 13%

STEELE DID 7%

BOTH DID 43%

NOT SURE 13%
To me this is an interesting question and I am not sure why the question was asked only in the Senate race. But Steele has gotten a lot of attention because of his advertising, a unique blend of personal discussion and lighthearted fun, while at the same time, Cardin's ads are predictably pedestrian.

Nearly twice as many people thought Cardin's attacks were more unfair to Steele. This is outside the polls margin of error, and while nearly half of all respondents said both men were unfair, I think that this question highlights an interesting split among the population. If the question can be fairly translated into support (a decent question), then Steele has an edge. This of course supposes that people will vote because of an ad campaign, which I tend to doubt in general, but Steele's relatively positive campaign, positive in that he has talked about ideas, may bring him victory tomorrow.
