Iran Attacks British Forces in Iraq?

A troubling development from the Sun:
IRANIAN forces are being choppered over the Iraqi border to bomb Our Boys, intelligence chiefs say.

Military experts claim this worrying move means we are at WAR with Iran in all but name.

Last night an intelligence source told The Sun: “It is an extremely alarming development and raises the stakes considerably. In effect, it means we are in a full on war with Iran — but nobody has officially declared it.

“We have hard proof that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have crossed the border to attack us.

“It is very hard for us to strike back. All we can do is try to defend ourselves. We are badly on the back foot.”
Agence France Presse is also reporting on the matter, based largely on the Sun report.

If this turns out to be true, that situation in Iraq, already a complicated matter at best, has become infinitely more complex. Although long suspected of directly supporting paramilitary and insurgent activities in Iraq, Iran had more or less kept its military in Iran, now it appears as though that may no longer be the case. The question remains whether or not the U.S. and Britain can keep Iran out of the way--a prospect looking dimmer by the minute.

Update (3:55pm): Bad reporting by the British papers, this claim debunked by Confederate Yankee. Still though, we do have a legitimate concern that Iran could get involved on a more explicit level.
