UPDATE: Former National Teamer and Kansas City GM Peter Vermes has been named interim coach.
The Kansas City Wizards have fired Curt Onalfo yesterday after a 6-0 shelling by the Kenny Cooper-less FC Dallas. Onalfo' Wizards were spotty in performance, sometimes looking very good and other times quite shocking.
Kansas currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference, six ponts off the pace for a playoff berth. A playoff berth is not outside the realm of possibility given they have 12 games left to play this season.
Onalfo was just two games under .500 this season (which is way better than New York's Juan Carlos Osario's record).
An interim manager should be named today.
