What's wrong with single payer public health care? Nothing. Every industrialized nation on earth but the United States already has that sort of system. Longevity in those nations is, in most cases, greater than here. I have heard the propaganda all of my damned life about the horrors of "socialized medicine". A loved one of mine is at this moment forgoing medical care she needs because she has no health insurance. This is a crime against her and against humanity. We have billions to waste murdering Iraqis for a decade, but no money to help my loved one in need? I want socialized medicine and I want it now--in 2009.
I have led a varied life, growing up in Florida, joining the Navy, going to college (let's go Terps!, Fear the Turtle!!), spending time as a lobbyist and now consulting for political action committees. The more I have been invovled in politics, the more I love it--it is the only game left for grown-ups. My blog is an homage to my life and my passions.
