Bidding War for Michael Bradley?

Maybe not so much according to Chris Courtney, but French side Monaco have reportedly offered 8.5 million Euros for the Heerenveen midfielder and U.S. International. Bradley was Heerenveen's leading scorer last season with 19 goals, partially because the Dutch club uses Bradley as an attacking midfielder unlike his father, U.S. National Team Coach Bob Bradley, who uses Michael as a holding midfielder.

If Monaco's offer goes through, Bradley will be the most expensive American player transferred, as 8.5 million Euros at current exchange rates is $13.7 million, a full $3.7 million more than the just completed Villareal/Jozy Altidore deal. Budesliga side Bayern Leverkusen has reportedly offered 4.5 million Euros.

Good for Bradley--but stay out of the casinos.
