Investigate, Don't Legislate

One item that is big in the news is the absolutely, historically bad approval ratings of Congress--an institution not exactly known for massive popularity. There are lots of plausible explanations, ranging from general dislike of government to inability to make a dent in the President's war policy. But Glenn Greenwald has a the winner of ironic explanations--a lack of investigations of the Administration.

Perhaps the failure to legislate anything substantive would be a contributing factor. How about the inability to actually be the most ethical Congress ever?

Look, Congress usually sucks in approval ratings, but when even Democrats think Congress sucks, maybe Congress needs to take a good, hard, long look in the mirror as the cause of their unpopularity.
