it is not often that I find a USL PDL (Premier Development League) team in federal circuit court, buthere they are in this 8th Circuit case dealing with stadiums and cost. I haven't read the whole case yet.
Update 4:31pm: The case is a breach of contract and corporate form case. Apparently, the Des Moines Menace's owner, Kyle Krause, was seeking to have a new 7,000-9,000 seat stadium built for the team (wow--that's ambitious for the PDL), but the deal fell through with the town and the stadium designers HOK Sports (big time sports stadium designers) were left without having been paid. HOK sued for $436,800 and won. This decision is the appeal of the case.
