Congress Wary of 1994 Repeat

The last time the U.S. had a Democratic President and a Democraticall controlled Congress was in 1994. Both branches of government got a big head and started down a path that most American's were ready to follow. The result, an electoral drubbing in 1994. This time it looks like Democrats are worried about 2010 being a repeat of 1994.

The result for all those liberal worshippers of Obama will be that they won't see all of those things he promised actually come true. That middle class tax cut and the "increase on taxes" on the rich? Well, that last part may come true, but that first one will be quietly toned down. All those promises of help for poor America and the middle class, will become victim to the ever popular $700 billion bailout that has climed to somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.2 trillion or so.

So we will see campaign promises meet budgetary reality. So what will that mean for Obama and Congress in 2010? Who knows, but it may not be pretty.
