DC United Slams Harbor View 5-0 in CONCACAF champtions Cup

After a disappointing first leg in Jamaica, DC United shook off the cobwebs and put five into the net to advance to the to semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

So the big question is what got into Devon McTavish. He scored United's only goal in Jamiaca and then put two into the net tonight. Luciano Emilio had two goals and and Fred the fifth. McTavish's three goals in two matches makes the the three year Defender the club's leading scorer. After the first leg, Steven Goff asked McTavish when was the last time he scored a goal?
"I think I was a junior in high school. No, it was my senior year at college. I scored in a preseason game my rookie year [with United], but that was it. As you could tell by my reaction the other day, it doesn't happen very often."

Nonetheless, he is the team's leading scorer. "Yeah, that should stand up until tomorrow," he said.
Well not so much. Although I imagine that Emilio, Fred and a couple of others will quickly pass him on the scoring leaders board. United's home form was somewhat slow, possession ball in the first half, but beginning in the second half, United put three goals in the mesh in about five minutes.

DC will face the winner of Pachuca (MEX) vs. Montagua (HON), who play tomorrow, in the semi finals in early April.

MLS's other representative, MLS Cup Holders Houston Dynamo will face Guatamala's Municpal in their second leg tomorrow as well. It is possible for an all MLS final, but a lot of games have to be won between now and then.
