Stalwart and steady Eddie Lewis has returned to the U.S. to play for the struggling Galaxy. L.A. passed on Cory Gibbs who will now go to Colorado, according to Soccer by Ives and L.A. will use their allocation spot to pick up Lewis. The American international, last seen with the national team against Barbados, should provide some additional flair, skill and work ethic on the left side of the Galaxy midfield. While not as good on the long pass as Beckham, Lewis can make some quality service to the goal scoring machine that is Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle.
I don't know what L.A. is going to do about all the goals they give up, but I like Lewis returning to the U.S. to close out his career.
