The pattern for the Cottagers last year was to jump out to a quick lead, take that lead into the final 15 minutes and then choke something fierce. Well, that was the pattern again on Saturday in the final preseason friendly against Torino.
Bobby Zamora and Zoltan Gera got goals in the 20th and 28th minute respectively, putting Fulham in the driver's seat going into the second half. Torino came back with two quick goals in the 80th and 88th minute. The pattern is just too familiar and I am hopeful that Manager Roy Hodgson will get the team to focus in that final 15 mintues and not blow leads they well earned earlier in the match. It is one thing to draw a match when each side has earned it, but it is another to blow a lead with 10 minutes in the match.
The Premier League finally opens on Saturday and Fulham will travel to Hull City to open up.
