In a not very surprising move, journeyman American goalkeeper Kasey Keller will play next year for Seattle Sounders FC, the MLS expansion club for next year.
Keller, who is from teh Seattle area, has played in Spain, Germany, and with five different clubs in England, including Premier league sides Tottenham and most recently Fulham.
Some people (Goff) seem to think Keller's age is a factor (Keller will be 39 when the MLS season starts next year). But for counter proof, see Onstad, Pat (Houston Dynamo and Canadian National Team) aged 40. See also, James, David (Portsmouth FC and English National Team) age 38. Goalkeepers generally have a much longer shelf-life than field players.
Keller played a role in Fulham's great escape last year and to see him play a final few years with the MLS is a quality thing.
