Myanmar Cyclone

Simply tragic. Cyclone death toll nears 4,000 in Myanmar, wiht perhaps another 3,000 unaccounted for.

Headlines like this puts the hysteria over Katrina in a far different light.

One thing that will be immediately apparent, the United States is almost certainly on the way with massive military and humanitarian aid and everyone and their grandmother will complain that the United States doesn't care enough. U.S. ships in teh region will go on water rationing as they head to the area with their massive desalinators working overtime to make potable water and supply ships will be loaded to the gunwales with supplies to make a dash to Myanmar with supplies.

Japan has already pledged 28 million yen plus supplies to include tents, generators and other material.
